Cambodia - Kingdom of Wonder
On 7th November I prepared the last few things I needed for my journey and went to the airport in Italy. My Slovenian friend was waiting for me in Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. She works for a European company there.
Cristina and Goran
Goran is from Basovizza and Cristina from a small village called Repen. Quite unknown places but the energy and the beauty of them is really something. The wedding ceremony was in Repentabor Church in a village Col and the reception in a restaurant Kobjeglava in a village Kobjeglava in Slovenia.
Mateja and Leo
22nd September 2012 was a beautiful sunny day, full of love and warm moments. It was a perfect day and Mateja and Leo said “I do”.
Maša and Filip
Maša is from Primorska and Filip from Štajerska region, but they met each other for the first time in Egypt, in a surfing school. 7th of July 2012 was the day when they got married.
Wedding Experiments
Love and you will be loved. Enjoy and be grateful for the beautiful moments that you will remember all your life. Like Forrest Gump said: “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get…” and so, life will bring you pain and life will bring you happiness. We need ups and downs in our lives. That makes it interesting and beautiful.
Smokey Joe, Family and Horses
On 24th June my closest family had a picnic and on the next day we went to Primorska Region. The first stop was Lipica to see the Lipizzan horses. That was a birthday wish of my sister-in-law. We spent a wonderful time together but while walking around something unexpected happened. My flip-flops collapsed and I walked with my bare feet through the whole village of Štanjel, where the paths are rocky with sharp stones most of the time, so I almost wasn't able to photograph. I was too busy looking at the ground and watching where to make the next step…
Andreja and Marko
It was 6th of June when Andreja and Marko were celebrating anniversary of their first meeting, their first date. They celebrate it every year but this year the celebration was really unique, it was their wedding day.
Nika and Mauro - In Love
It was 16th March 2012. My assisstant and I were on the way to Italy, to the seaside city near Slovenian border called Trieste. There we met Nika and Mauro. It was a sunny Friday afternoon and something was in the air… a smell of the spring and a lot of pure love… We spend some hours in the streets of Trieste and then we went to Basovizza – a small place on the upland plains, about ten minutes from the centre. We went to a natural park – a very paceful untouched nature. The view of some roe deers eating grass there was really beautiful.
Vesna and Nijaz
It was the 22nd of June 2011 when we (Andraž and Andraž) came to Hrastnik where Vesna's parents live. It was a nice sunny day and everything was prepared for a beautiful wedding. I took photos when Vesna's brother Mitja married about three years ago and we really felt great together so I knew that this wedding is going to be as nice as it was Mitja and Urška's. And yes, we spent a wonderful time together again.
Newborn
It was a sunny Tuesday afternoon, 14th of February 2012, when I entered the hospital room and there he was. One day old, so little and tiny…
Lea and Janez
Janez is a very passionate motorcyclist, so on their wedding day there were a lot of motorcyclists around. On the other hand Lea loves butterflies and that's why there was a huge collection of butterflies of all kinds and material outside the house, in her room, in the kitchen, on the clothes, on the walls, at the reception… for me it was quite fun to find and captured as many of them as possible.
Mateja
Mateja graduated at Academy of music in Ljubljana. She plays the violin and she needed some photos for her promotion. We met on 20th December 2011 early in the morning. And here is the result…
Tjaša and Tomaž
At 1 pm I came to a beautiful small village Jesenje near Litija where Tjaša's parents live.
From Jesenje the couple and the guests went to castle Bogenšperk where Tjaša and Tomaž had a civil marriage. We did a portrait shoots in the Bogenšperk park and from there we moved to Vesela Gora (in Slovenian language Vesela Gora means Happy Mountain) near Šentrupert. And that day the name suited the place perfectly.
One of the most interesting things during Tjaša and Tomaž's wedding day was the weather. We had sun, rain, snow and at the end a very strong wind on Vesela Gora.
